If you plant white eggplant….. Eat it white.. if it starts to look yellow its time to cut and toss it in the compost pile. At the end of the season after the frost I go and collect seeds from mine… Just because they will end up being a hybrid(I plant 3 or 4 types) We call it the eggplant surprise! we never no what it will look like.

I grow in the garden normally, but I am sure you could easily grow egg plant in a pot. For a single plant I would suggest a pot about 30-40 cm in diameter (1 foot) and about the same deep. One healthy plant will give you 3-4 egg plant.

Can I grow one in a container ? If so, about how big do you think the container would need to be ? I am new to all of this gardening stuff and I live in an apartment complex so my options seem a little limited :)
