Good information. Everyone should do what they can to grow a little food. Get a 6 pack of lettuce and plant them around the edge of a 12″ pot.

nice video, but out here in south west Nebraska there is a bunch of land, so planting on low maintance roads is a great way to have a winter’s supply of food,
beets works well, as for dtiches water is collected and holds it, yep weeds can be a problem and the farmers do have say you can, most will in shock that city folk will get their hands dirty. this also spread out your garden, so hail or disease can’t get it, and low maintance roads don’t get sprayed by the road guys.
    consider it

I think that’s a good idea. And I don’t think you talk too fast. That’s normal speed for me. ;)

Wheatgrass and beansprouts can grow in low light. Bean sprouts can grow in a jar no soil needed youtube it, its very simple to do & grow in a few days. I’m looking into getting some halide lamps for indoor growing very soon for all year round veggies. Tomatoes, mini cucumbers, red peppers…etc. You can add a? little sugar in the water to help the plants grow once in a while. Happy gardening Great vid!

i do it the other way around for my diet. greens for nutrition, fruit for energy, and avocado/nuts/coconut/durian/co conut oil for healthy fats instead of needing animals as my fat? source… because face it, if there is a disaster with increased pollution you need your greens to help aid your body in removing toxins because they can build up. like they also do in animals, so animals might not be your best source of fats. also you should store some seaweeds

great post, pick the short plant types with fast harvesting -lettuces ,plants that harvst tops and bottems like turnips-the body needs fresh veggies when stressed big time !! morning sun is the best? for growth and reflection of sunlight works if space is tricky to manage by useing foil on cardboard tipped to stream light to plants longer .grab your own sunlight too, vitaim D from sunlight just a 20min a day can inprove health-medi Herbs fresh are great also and fast growers

There’s no such thing as an empty calorie — every calorie contains a calorie. duh.

you would be supprised how fast peoplelike this doucher are gunna go out when it comes down

  18. woodswoman783

I was kinda thinking this too. All my neighbors would have as much or more food in their cupboards as I do. They also wouldn’t care how much food I had. What do people put in their kitchen cabinets if not food? Other than that good vid. Too many people complain that they don’t have enough space to grow food. This shows that it doesn’t take much space if a person is willing to put the work into it.

my dd old toddler pool will be taking the place of the storage bin!!!

    That’s a good idea!

White Rice in food storage? Empty calories = wasted space. Brown rice is far superior nutritionally. White rice is about as nutritious as paper.

  22. ArkansasWindy20

Why wouldnt we want to utilize our kitchen cabinets for our food storage? I dont have a problem with anyone that I would allow in my kitchen knowing I have food storage.
