UK only…..Is there a height limit for a garden fence?

My mums neighbour has erected a garden which is an absolute eyesore and although not blocking light, it does obsure an otherwise clear landscape. I am also sure they have put it back to front because the struts are on my mums side and the actual panels are on the neighbours side.

Is a legal height limit for a garden fence? what is it? and which way round should the fence panels face?

I think thats a question for your local council, most councils have their own websites and you can look up planning applications on there. I think basically if its over 6ft is the rule of thumb though, but youre mum can have a go at objecting to it, if it blocks light.
