How would I go about teaching a kids gardening class?
I am an avid gardener and I love taking my little brothers and neighbor kids over and showing them my plants and teaching them. I have been asked by several kids and moms to do a class. How would I do that. I know I would obviously teach them how seeds grow, how to water, and take care of and harvest plants, but is there a reference site I could go to for lesson plans on gardening/seeds/plants for kids? Thanks!!

I don't know if this will help you---but you want the class to be fun--where the kids look forward to what you will be doing each week.
Throw some creativity into it and check out the 'Gardening theme' at http://www.kidactivities.net/category/Theme-Gardening.aspx There are gardening activities, games, snacks, and more...

Give them a styrofoam cup each and a sunflower seed to plant in it.
Teach them about what plants need to grow, etc etc and let them have fun planting, watering, etc.
Sunflower seeds grow quickly which is important because they’ll lose interest if they don’t see results fairly quickly.
Once the sunflower is a bit bigger, they can plant it in the garden at home.
This is what they did at my kids’ pre-school and it was a real hit.
